The 34th Colchester (1st Shrub End) Scout Group is part of the Colchester Estuary District in Essex, the Scout Group Headquarters is located on Shrub End Road, Colchester. Map
The group consists of three sections meeting in the Scout Group Headquarters as follows:
| Beavers | Wednesday | 6 to 7 PM |
| Cubs | Thursday | 6.30 to 8 PM |
| Scouts | Monday | 7 to 9 PM |
The group participates in various activities as sections, the whole group, part of the District or as part of the County, this will give opportunities for your children to meet other people and make friends.
Making Payments
Payments in the group are accepted in the following methods:
Direct Debit for Subs (ask a leader or download the relevant form [Cubs and Scouts] [Beavers])
Cheque's (made payable to 34th Colchester Scout Group)
Cash (should be in sealed envelope)
We would be grateful if any payments, whether they be by cash or cheque, are placed in a sealed envelope with details of what the payment is for, and who it is from, on the front of the envelope.
Subs
Subs are collected each term, and are currently at £27.50 for Scouts and Cubs and £25.00 for Beavers. This money covers:-
- Annual fees to District, County and National bodies for insurance and leader training. Unfortunately, the group don't get to see a penny of this money.
- A small amount of the subs are kept by the group to cover running costs such as electric and water bills and the purchasing of equipment.
- Badges.
- Equipment needed for Pack meetings.
Scouting is a charitable organisation and entitled to claim gift aid for any payments made if you wish to participate in this scheme for your payments please ask one of the leaders or download a form.
